OUR NURSERY PRESENTED WITH STARTWELL AWARD
Rainbow Day Nursery is happy to announce that we received the Startwell Award. The hard work and dedication of our staff to implement the programme and getting all parents on board is a testimony to the nursery’s success in helping children develop and grow healthy.
Startwell is an new national child health and wellbeing development programme. It is based on 7 key messages to support early years setting, parents and health professionals creating a healthier environment for our children and families.
Our nursery has implement all the 7 key messages of the programme, ensuring our children are eating healthy and doing the recommend physical activities every day. For more information please see our nursery website.
'I LOVE MY FAMILY' WORKSHOP
On Friday 14th February 2020, Rainbow Day Nursery planned an exciting workshop for both parents and children to take part in making exciting craft activities with their children, In recognition of their family. There was a variety of activities such as,

Training opportunities for Parents
The Workshop was a success, Staff, Parents and children all had a lovely time and we received some good feedback.
HEALTHY EATING WORKSHOP
On Friday 18th October 2019- Rainbow Day Nursery had a Healthy Workshop planned for parents and children. 9:30am-11:30am. The workshop was well prepared and had useful information including fun activities for Parents & Children.
This included:

Presentation with useful information

Information table with leaflets and poster with a display which shows how much sugars are in our snacks and drinks.

Activity- 'Lunchbox activity' And Healthy teeth activity.

Making sandwiches and wraps
-
Making yummy smoothies.
This was a great opportunity to also go into more detail with parents about Startwell and the characters.
The healthy eating workshop was a great success and everyone had a lovely time.
